We train legal professionals and child rights stakeholders to advocate for young children’s rights, in alignment with international, regional, and national legal frameworks and practice.
In Addition, we connect legal professionals to platforms dedicated to understanding the dynamics and consequences of ECD, enriching the interdisciplinary dialogue, to create more effective policies and developmentally sensitive legal systems
Exposure to violence, abuse and neglect impact the development trajectory of young children. Children have a right to be protected from abuse and violence; especially during the developmentally critical early years. We strengthen the capacities of caregivers, families, and community-based organizations and local administration on prevention of and response to abuse, neglect, exploitation, and violence against children.
Children With Disabilities
We champion for the rights and promote inclusive practices for CwDs in ECD centres, which can play an important role in the identification of special needs issues and can provide for the assessment of children who are not reaching their developmental milestones. We sensitize the centers to notice possible abuse and neglect, to make the relevant referrals and to provide support for parents/primary caregivers.
